Colt by Fast company out of a Pivotal mare. Half-brother to winners, Fingals Cave and Robert Bruce, recent winner of the Arlington Million. Shaped with promise on debut and should do better.

€28,000 yearling, Morpheus colt whose dam was a 1m winner. Stayed on well over this trip on debut and should have learnt plenty there. Should do better.

Mustameet gelding who was a cheap purchase at just €4,500. Dam was a winner over 5f as a two-year-old and related to a few low level winners. Market good guide.

€3,000 foal by Most Improved out of ordinary 7f AW winner. Big price and never really travelling on debut. Much more needed.

Beaten a long way on debut but showed an improved effort in the first time visor last time. That was a step in the right direction and could be involved with further improvement.
Homebred colt, beaten just over 7L on debut at the Curragh over this trip last month, having raced up with the pace. Entered here on Wednesday and unlikely to take part.
Excelebration colt that cost €22,000 as a foal and went unsold at €30,000 as a yearling. Dam was unraced but related to a couple of good stayers. Likely type on paper.

11,500 foal, €33,000 yearling, Zebedee gelding. Always behind on debut and needs to have learnt plenty from that experience to be involved here.

Three starts in maidens so far over slightly shorter and well held in all of them. Needs to show plenty more to be involved and likely to be better suited to handicaps.

Forecasts

Sacchoandvanzetti (9/4), Dreamboat Dave (9/4), Arcturus (3/1), Refulgence Star (8/1), Soloheadbeg (8/1), Zeb Spirit (25/1), Improving (33/1), Grove Gold (33/1), Vineyard Sound (40/1), Han Solo (50/1), How Am I Looking (66/1)

Verdict

An open contest to kick things off and improvement from one of the once-raced runners could well be good enough. Arcturus and Han Solo both fit the bill and should be capable improvement. DREAMBOAT DAVE shaped with plenty of promise on debut and can make it second time lucky.
  1. Dreamboat Dave
  2. Arcturus
  3. Han Solo
