Won two in a row over 5f here and looked one to keep on the right side of before struggling in Listed company. Possibly unsuited by the quicker ground and could easily bounce back on handicap debut.
Won over this C&D on debut and suited by underfoot conditions. Was slowly away but looked to be challenging when repeatedly short of room at Ripon and looks on a good mark on handicap debut.
Showed nice improvement to win on handicap debut following a break when suited by a softer surface and the step up to this trip. Can progress further despite 5lb rise.
Won at odds-on here on his fourth start. Well beaten in the Super Sprint and a tough York handicap either side of a better effort when runner-up at Musselburgh. This should prove more suitable but others look better handicapped.
Has improved on every run so far and bids for hat-trick following two C&D wins. 4lb rise unlikely to stop her and rates a leading contender with conditions ideal.
Maiden whose best run of five came over 5f here on his second start. Tough ask at Goodwood on handicap debut, however questions remain on this softer surface.
Posted a best run from just three starts over this C&D and seemed happier on the easier surface. Conditions likely to suit but a tough ask on handicap debut.
Now 4lb better off with Princes Des Sables for his third over this C&D. Can be competitive but concern that he was hanging and may be better suited by the minimum trip at present.
Well beaten last on previous handicap start behind Princes Des Sables over this C&D and this looks a tough ask.
Six-race maiden who has shaped with promise including when fourth behind Princes Des Sables over this C&D. However this could prove tougher from out of the handicap.
Forecasts
Baronial Pride (9/4), Princes Des Sables (3/1), Lightning Attack (6/1), I Believe In You (8/1), Mark's Choice (10/1), Woodside Wonder (12/1), Port of Leith (14/1), Zebzardee (16/1), Northern Society (16/1), Jordan Electrics (66/1)
BARONIAL PRIDE looks the pick of his trainer's three runners and having got absolutely no luck at Ripon, starts life in handicaps on a very good mark. It's a competitive race and a strong case can be made for Princes Des Sables who is going rapidly in the right direction. I Believe In You is still open to progress on ground which is much more suitable while Mark's Choice can be involved after winning with plenty in hand on handicap debut.
- Baronial Pride
- Princes Des Sables
- Mark's Choice
