Mussleburgh winner in June, but has been unable to follow up that success after going up in the weights, including when outclassed in the Stewards' Cup at Goodwood last time. Needs some respite from the handicapper.
Winner of 14 races, but has been out of sorts on last two starts in which he has failed to beat a rival. Hard to recommend until showing signs of a revival.
Completed a hat-trick of wins at Pontefract in August, but inevitably climbed the weights and was held in fourth at Doncaster last time. Lower AW rating gives him some hope.
Winner over 5f at this course in April, but has lost his way since and comes into this contest on the back of a poor run at Catterick. Others make much more appeal.
Classic Pursuit has a lower rating on the AW than turf and may be able to make his presence felt, but the two who stand out are Dubai One and MISSY MISCHIEF. The latter shrugged off a long absence when justifying favouritism in a Doncaster novice race and there is a strong chance she has got into this handicap on a handy mark. Captain Jameson looks the best of the rest.
