6f juvenile winner for Richard Hannon in July 2016 (Newbury), but in very deep during his early 3yo career and has continued to struggle ever since; drops into a Class 6 for the very first-time, yet still rates as unappealing.

Edged out Gun Case by head over C&D in September 2017 (off this mark), but hasn't convinced on turf throughout 2018 (mainly at Ayr), and seemingly needs the return to Tapeta to revitalise.

After a slow start to her career, she's found her feet since mid-July, twice winning over 7f on quick ground (at Catterick and Leicester); carries a 6lb penalty for Tuesday's victory; interesting to see if she can maintain her progress on the AW.

No win since May 2016 (6f), but does stay further and clearly is best suited to the AW (4-21); handicap mark easing and this stiffer track could prove to be a much better match than Wolverhampton.

Didn't offer much to work with in three quick starts during June (all over 1m, good to firm), but interesting to see him switched to the AW on handicap debut for a stable amongst the winners lately; market a guide.

Runner-up off a 3lb lower mark in a similar contest over C&D in July, and has run well enough over hurdles at Perth since; evidently suited by this demanding 7f trip and should be thereabouts.

Eight-race maiden; started off well enough as a juvenile (May/June 2017), but it hasn't quite clicked for her in handicaps over a variety of trips just yet; absent since May (had wind surgery), down another 3lb; market a guide.

Won just once in 17 starts, on Tapeta at Wolverhampton (6f); has run a couple of fair races at Nottingham this season (both over 6f) and represents a trainer in form, but this 7f trip is the imponderable.

A shadow of the horse who took a 6f claimer here in March 2017, falling 16lb in the weights for his seven starts in 2018; stays 7f, and this is probably his track, but very risky overall.

12-race maiden; beaten just ½L by Mabo over C&D in March, but has under-performed with a degree of regularity since, so an 11lb lower mark isn't enough to tempt.

14/1
19-race maiden with very little in the way of AW form (0-3); his 22/1 Ripon second of 12 (6f, maiden handicap) in July is an outlier on his overall form; hard to consider.

Tom's Anna25
Age: 8|  Weight: 8-10| J: M Stainton| T: S Regan| OR:  45| D
66/1
Sole win in May 2013 (7f), and hasn't seen a great deal of racing in 2018, back on the AW for the first time since November 2017, but with precious little to recommend her on overall.

Forecasts

Twilight (5/2), Great Colaci (9/2), Elysee Star (5/1), Seebring (7/1), Passing Star (11/1), Majeste (12/1), Silk Mill Blue (14/1), Intiwin (14/1), Astraea (16/1), Make It Simple (20/1), Ticks The Boxes (50/1), Tom's Anna (66/1)

Verdict

A race which offers even less strength in depth than the opening division, so an ideal opportunity for Tuesday's Leicester winner TWILIGHT to follow up under her 6lb penalty. She's clearly continued on an upward curve since mid-summer, and there's absolutely no reason to believe that the switch to Tapeta will count against her. Great Colaci is exposed but should be on the premises at a track which suits, whilst both Make It Simple (handicap and AW debut) and Astraea (first run since wind surgery) are worthy of a market check.
  1. Twilight
  2. Passing Star
  3. Great Colaci
