Has clearly had some issue having been off the track for over a year now. Was a model of consistency prior to the break and was on the upgrade. Every chance he can continue that progress now if fit and ready to go after the long absence.

Hasn't won for a long time but has dropped to an attractive mark as a result. Sound effort in defeat at Windsor (1m2f, good) last time and this previous C&D winner tends to act better on the AW. Pretty clear claims of running well.

Consistent performer who was having a good summer prior to disappointing upped to a class 2 at York last time. Will be more at home back down in this grade and another who could continue his progression.

Won his first two starts in novice company before disappointing on soft ground on handicap debut at Doncaster. Looked in need of the run on return at Newmarket last time and a return to the AW looks a good move. Every chance he can get back on track

Improved with each start in novice company culminating with a win here over 1m two weeks ago. Starts life in handicaps off a fair mark and goes significantly up in trip. Should be more to come.

Verdict

A fascinating little heat in which you cannot discount any of the five runners. Mutarabby was on the upgrade when last seen over a year ago and could well continue that progression now if fit and ready to go. This could well go to one of the three-year-olds in the field with Enzemble going significantly up in trip for handicap debut and MOOTASADIR making plenty of appeal back on the AW. Things haven't gone to plan on turf for him the last twice but he's unbeaten on artificial surfaces and he can get back to winning ways.
  1. Mootasadir
  2. Enzemble
  3. Mutarabby
