€28,000 colt from the first crop of Gale Force Ten who was well beaten in his first two starts but showed improvement when third last time. More required again on handicap and AW debut.

Ran better when a well-held third over 7f here but disappointing subsequently on handicap debut. Could improve back on this surface but needs to find more in this company.

Showed ability at Newcastle but well held and below that form back at this track. Extra furlong will help on handicap debut but likely his best will come over a fair bit further in time.

Given a very stiff task in Listed company and no surprise to see him out of his depth but starts off life in handicap company off a workable mark based on some promise shown on his second start. More required but not one to discount.

Showed improvement when just worn down over this C&D on handicap debut. Could progress again but this looks a tougher ask off 5lb higher.

Disappointing on first try over this trip at Salisbury but is now 5lb lower than when a decent third here on handicap debut and looks on a decent mark. Can be involved with an eye-catching jockey booking.

Mukhadram filly who has improved with each of her three starts and now makes handicap debut. Her Chester fourth is a race that is working out really well and she is on an attractive mark. Looks a leading contender.

Well held in all three starts so far and looks one of yard's lesser lights. Significant progress needed on handicap debut.

Plenty to find with Storm Shelter from handicap debut fourth over this C&D and has shaped as though he needs a stiffer test of stamina than this.

Duke of Yorkie8
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-8| J: J P Fahy| T: A West| OR:  52

Improved for the step back up to 7f when running on from out wide at Lingfield. Gets to race off 2lb lower and the extra furlong looks ideal. Rates a leading contender.

Bit more promise at Wolverhampton following a slow start and now makes handicap debut. Extra furlong should suit and could be in on a good mark. Not one to dismiss.

Best run of five starts came last time when one place behind Storm Shelter over this C&D, however more required to be involved here.

Henrythenavigator gelding cost just 1,500 guineas as a yearling. No promise in four starts so far and needs to find vast improvement.

Forecasts

Storm Shelter (11/4), Ghost Queen (6/1), Swan Street (6/1), First Thought (6/1), Duke of Yorkie (8/1), Singe Du Nord (10/1), Calling The Wind (11/1), Merlin's Magic (14/1), Big Ian (14/1), Summa Force (16/1), Spring To Freedom (16/1), Mendeleev (50/1), Keston Warrior (100/1)

Verdict

GHOST QUEEN is progressing nicely and has shaped the last twice as though there is improvement to come at this distance. The form of her latest run continues to be franked and she looks the one to beat. Duke Of Yorkie really caught the eye from a poor draw last time and rates the main danger. First Thought may have more to offer back on this surface while Mendeleev could outrun his likely odds.
  1. Ghost Queen
  2. Duke of Yorkie
  3. Mendeleev
