Improved from his debut run to score by 5l on the turf course here last August. Off since then, the fitness of the colt, who cost 120,000 gns, has to be taken on trust. But he's from a top yard and has to be respected accordingly.

Well beaten on debut and big improvement would be required for him to just make the frame. Hard to fancy on the form of his first start.

Had to play catch up in both his previous starts but the step up in trip is appropriate and this 270,000 gns purchase shouldn't be underestimated. Yard currently going well with a 25% strike-rate is a bonus.

An impeccably-bred colt but it's almost frightening that his price dropped from 180,000 gns as a yearling to just 4,000 gns at the Newmarket July sales. Yard very quiet and it's probably safest to just take notes this time.

Sets the standard from those with previous experience and has shown promise on a couple of occasions. Interesting he tries a race like this rather than staying in handicaps, so has to merit a second look in the betting.

Good effort when second on his debut at Salisbury (7f, firm), but failed to build on that when a disappointing favourite when upped to a mile at Kempton last month. Yard going well but needs to step forward here and show more resolution.

Her dam was placed in a Listed race over 6f but did manage a win over this trip. The yard can ready one but not traditionally noted for first-time out winners. Another for the notebook here.

Raced keenly on debut but veered under pressure and possibly failed to get home as a result. Looks like she'll benefit from more experience but a big amount of improvement is required.

Cost €130,000, the filly is far from the finished article; she showed her inexperience by veering from the stalls and unseating the rider on debut. Slowly away next time and never managed to land a blow - creating the impression she needs more time.

Very likable pedigree - related to the high-class Kingman - and has the obvious appeal of the Gosden/Dettori partnership to boost here claims. Another to monitor closely in the betting.

Forecasts

Panmolle (4/5), Game Player (11/4), Radio Source (7/2), Muneyra (5/1), Enthaar (8/1), Nawar (14/1), Lily Of Year (20/1), Aria Rose (100/1), Woosh (100/1), Classy Cailin (100/1), Foreign Legion (100/1)

Verdict

An incredible amount has been invested in just a handful of these and, considering the level of prize-money on offer, the course has done well to frame such a competitive Novices Stakes. The likes of Panmolle, Radio Source (the only previous winner in the field), and Game Player all merit close scrutiny in the betting and are likely to go on to better things after this. However, MUNEYRA is a regally-bred filly that appeals as a punting option and she just edges the vote as the most interesting candidate on show.
  1. Muneyra
  2. Panmolle
  3. Radio Source
