Won a Kempton maiden on her final start for William Haggas but held twice since racing for her new yard. Notably hung left when headed close home over this trip latest, so needs to conclusively prove 1m2f is her ideal trip.
Career blighted by two long absences and has passed through the hands of a couple of yards before settling back into the fold of her current trainer. Did manage a win at Wolverhampton (now 3lb lower) back in April but form dipped severely since.
Made the most of an attractive mark to win at Newbury last time out - made every yard and held on gamely. More required to do the same from a 6lb higher mark, but still respected.
Made a favourable impression to reach the frame at Nottingham in first start after a gelding operation. Likely more to come and noteworthy cheekpieces are applied this afternoon. (First of two interesting rides on the card for Frankie Dettori.)
Consistent in three novice races so far and not unduly punished for this handicap debut. The trip suits and, with a top jockey booking to boost his chances, the colt is worth noting in the betting.
Tried over a variety of distances but seems to be suited by 1m2f. Almost three years since his last win though.
Shown promise but failed to reward his supporters when sent off as the 6/4 favourite at Salisbury last month. That was his first try at this distance and possible the visor will help him see out the better trip this time. Shortlisted.
Placed twice earlier in the season but not so impressive on return run after being gelded (finished seventh of nine at Windsor last month). Has a bit to prove just now so may be best watched.
Didn't quite see out the trip over 1m4f last time and possible the return to this distance will initiate a return to form. Has gone well in a visor before, so no issue with the application replacing the cheekpieces. Respected from his current mark.
Result Amended
Glorious Army - Original Position 1st. Amended Position 2nd.
El Ghazwani - Original Position 2nd. Amended Position 1st.
Forecasts
Tiffin Top (15/8), Glorious Army (7/2), El Ghazwani (4/1), True North (15/2), Champs De Reves (10/1), Majrooh (12/1), Dreaming Of Paris (20/1), Le Maharajah (33/1), Caramuru (100/1)
Several hold decent claims in this open handicap - the likes of True North, El Ghazwani, and Glorious Army are all respected. The latter turns out under a penalty but still has a bit to offer and would be dangerous to ignore. However, TIFFIN TOP was a real eye-catcher in a narrow defeat at Nottingham last month and he gets the nod on the grounds of having stacks of untapped potential.
- Tiffin Top
- True North
- El Ghazwani
