Built on promise of debut here with a cosy win at Windsor, and further progress when 1½L fourth of 8 to Antonia de Vega in Prestige Stakes here (7f) last time. Respected despite a big impost.

Prairie Spy13

Won her first two starts, and better than result on both starts in nurseries, racing on her own and eased off at York last time. Certainly not one to write off given the rub of the green.

Lively Lydia13
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-9| J: Edward Greatrex| T: Eve Johnson Houghton| OR:  80| D

Has improved under front-running tactics of late, winning Windsor maiden and 7f novice at Kempton last month. More needed here, but likely to give it her best shot once more.

Had been looking exposed until running out an easy winner of a 7f nursery at Leicester on her latest start, beating a subsequent winner. That was a 0-70 event, and more depth to this, but not ignored.

Age: 2|  Weight: 8-4| J: David Egan| T: Miss A Murphy| OR:  75| D

Beat a subsequent dual winner when scoring at Newmarket in July, and improved a little further when edged out after leading in a 6f nursery at Leicester last month. Needs more here, but still early days with her.

Princess Power9
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-3| J: A Mullen| T: N Tinkler| OR:  74| BF| D
15/8
Won her first two starts in nurseries at Thirsk and Newmarket, and improved further when just touched off at Beverley (5f) last time. Looked unlucky there, and every chance of same mark now.

Carrie's Visionp9
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-3| J: S De Sousa| T: W J Haggas| OR:  74
9/2
Won a Yarmouth maiden on her debut, and better effort in nurseries when ½L second of 8 to Autumn Splendour there last time. Beginning to look exposed, however.

Shaffire10
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-0| J: Nicola Currie(3)| T: J Tuite| OR:  69
50/1
Best effort when second of 5 to Thriving in minor event at Chepstow in July, but bit disappointing over this C&D last time, and opening mark is quite stiff on balance.

Forecasts

Princess Power (15/8), Aim Power (4/1), Happy Odyssey (9/2), Carrie's Vision (9/2), Lively Lydia (7/1), Chonburi (14/1), Prairie Spy (16/1), Shaffire (50/1)

Verdict

Aim Power has loads of weight to concede, but the drop back to 6f will suit, and she is unlikely to go down without a fight. That said, she faces a well-handicapped filly in the shape of PRINCESS POWER, and Nigel Tinkler's daughter of Slade Power can make it three out of four in nurseries. Prairie Spy is better than she's shown of late, and isn't taken lightly.
  1. Princess Power
  2. Aim Power
  3. Prairie Spy
