Won a competitive handicap at York last September, the gelding has struggled in handicaps before dropping significant hints of a return to form lately. However, he faces a stiff test on these terms and needs to prove he handles the Tapeta surface.
Claims on the very pick of his form but has been out of sorts this season and his lack of experience on the surface and step up in trip could count against him. Others more convincing.
Still a maiden but has gone well at the course before now. This season's form has been poor, however, and he needs to up his game to figure at the business end this time.
Raced mainly over 7f and would have strong claims on the pick of those efforts. the betting can help shed some light on the expectations held of the gelding over this new trip though.
Given a chance at the weights and ought to have no issues with the trip. Needs to better the form of his last two starts over hurdles though. Has won on Polytrack but is also a debutante on this surface, so a little has to be taken on trust.
Likes this course and no issues regarding the trip. Handed a very attractive racing weight and looks like a leading candidate in this company.
0-21 under both codes of racing and struggling to find his level in handicaps of late. Latest effort over C&D was unconvincing but the likes of Island Flame, who runs earlier, could give that a boost. Risky on balance though.
Has won here but not been in the same form since returning from a long absence and needs to step up considerably after another modest effort at Kempton 10 days ago. The drop to this grade may help but is another with something to prove.
Low-grade handicapper at best and is 0-6 on the AW (0-13 in all races). Well held on her only previous attempt over C&D and hard to fancy again this time.

Tangramm (7/4), Carnageo (10/3), Pike Corner Cross (7/2), War At Sea (10/1), Fashaak (11/1), Sheriff (16/1), Toriano (20/1), Raven's Raft (33/1), D'waterside (33/1), Miniature Daffodil (33/1)
TANGRAMM has been given every chance on these terms and holds the most appealing profile from the modest bunch drawn together for the claimer. Carnageo is another that has shown signs of a return to form and could be a big threat if he handles the surface; while similar comments also apply to Sheriff, who reverts to the Flat after failing to shine over hurdles, but does handle an artificial surface.
- Tangramm
- Carnageo
- Sheriff
