Intikhab half-brother to the useful Thomas Hobson. Sent off favourite when last of 10 on debut at Lingfield in January, last year, and is clearly thought capable of better. Will probably need the run.
Green on both starts, latterly when unplaced behind an odds-on stable companion at Windsor. In good hands, but likely to be a bigger force in handicaps.

Has failed to beat a rival in his three starts. Returns from gelding/wind operations and can only be watched.

Good effort on second start when third in a tight finish over C&D. Sound claims on that effort with more improvement on the cards.

Maiden after seven starts, but has some fair form to his credit. Found handicap company too tough at Newmarket on his latest run and is in calmer waters this time.

Getting better with every run and ran well to finish second to an odds-on shot at Lingfield earlier this month. Has stamina to prove over an extra 2f.

Beaten a long way on both starts at Haydock and Kempton. Hard to make a case for and is a likely sort for handicaps later on.

Failed to hit the frame in five runs for Bryan Smart. Best watched on first start for her new stable.

Forecasts

Balaawy (13/8), Zatorius (5/2), Don't Look Down (11/4), Canford Heights (4/1), Mafdet (33/1), Palermo (33/1), Childe Harold (80/1), Karlyhamilton (80/1)

Verdict

A weak finale in which a strong case can be made for Zatorius, who boasts some fair form. He has had his chances, however, and is opposed with DON'T LOOK DOWN, who went close over C&D last time and is given a narrow vote over Balaawy on the grounds of proven stamina. Canford Heights hails from a powerful yard and is worth keeping an eye on, while the same goes for the long-absent Palermo, who was sent off favourite on his only outing.
  1. Don't Look Down
  2. Balaawy
  3. Zatorius
