Below his last winning mark and handles a soft surface. Appears to be coming to hand but an extra 2f would be preferable.
Winner of five Flat races and has right combination of trip and ground. Has gone well here in the past, but best handicap efforts have come off lower marks and she has been sidelined for six months.
Useful handicapper who failed to taste success last year despite running respectably. Tried in cheekpieces on his last start and starts life for his new yard on his last winning mark.
Took advantage of a drop back into this grade to score by 7L at Pontefract on penultimate start (now 3-7 at this level). Not as good on a faster track last time, but will be happier here and still well-treated judged on 2016 form.
Has plundered three races this term over 1m2f and has also made the frame in a slowly run race over this trip. Yet to prove he stays this far in a truly run race and that he can handle ground as soft as forecast.
Consistent gelding whose last three runs in this grade have produced a win and two seconds. Last run shows he can handle this mark and a soft surface.
Stepped up on previous efforts when upped in trip on soft ground. Did not quite see it out, but 2f less to travel and cheekpieces make him a realistic prospect.
Beat a modest lot on reappearance but has previously held his own in this grade and responds well to this rider. Also handles soft ground so has to enter calculations.
Goes well here and has progressed with each run since stepping up in trip. Still looks held by Auxiliary on running here in June and that rival is proven on ground as soft as forecast.
Forecasts
Multellie (4/1), Auxiliary (5/1), Helioblu Bareliere (11/2), Stanley (6/1), Weather Front (7/1), Zihaam (8/1), Granite City Doc (8/1), Kajaki (12/1), Canny Style (16/1)
MULTELLIE has won three races and also made the frame on two occasions in seven starts in this grade. Conditions are fine and he still gets in on a workable mark despite a 7L success at Pontefract. Zihaam is a danger having proved he can handle easy ground and with his yard returning to form. Auxiliary has place claims given his record under today's rider and his ability to handle plenty of give.
