Only modest over hurdles (still a maiden in that sphere) she didn't offer much when switched to chasing a few weeks ago at Newton Abbot over a longer trip than she faces here. Wasn't given a hard time there and drops in the handicap again.

His Taunton 3rd from out of the handicap (7lb) remains his one standout piece of form and he's gone backwards from there in two starts since. Now with a new yard off the back of a break but others have more to offer even in this poor contest.

One of the two career wins for Code Of Law came in this race last year but off a 7lb lower mark in a race that provided him with his first victory and he’s far from certain to be able to produce that same form here. Spiritofchartwell always seem to run well here and he’ll be dangerous in a strongly run race that he needs to show his best. Most of the others come with something to prove but CELTIC THUNDER can be given a chance having joined a very shrewd yard and looked better in himself since winning in point-to-points; the betting may well tell the story with him.
