Features off a much higher mark than when winning his only handicap/race so far but did shape well over a staying trip when last seen in June. Just unable to reel in a thriving winner on that occasion; should give a good account.

A winner early last year when making his turf debut over 1m4f he's been sparsely seen since (only had three runs). Would have needed the outing last time off the back of a three month break; held up and left poorly placed, now up in trip.

Winner on the AW earlier in the year when fit from a hurdling campaign (first try at the trip, overcoming some problems in running). He followed that up with a decent run (not well placed); now tries this trip on turf for the first time.

Fared a little better last time out over 2f shorter than she will face today although she was never really in the race having been tried over 2m the time before. Travels a fair way to run here and worth noting in the market.

Managed to end a long losing run when finding plenty in the closing stages to win over 1m7f at Ayr and has been rather inconsistent since over various staying trips. Had no chance at the weights last time, this more suitable as a test.

Form on the Flat is fairly modest and he will always be vulnerable to less exposed types over staying trips. Ran with credit last time though and looks to have a place chance if running to his best.

Irish raider from a yard that used to be far more frequent visitors to GB; this will be his first Flat run for the yard having had a couple of hurdles outings for them. Would have a chance on his Ayr 2nd earlier in the year off an 8lb lower mark.

C&D winner but the losing run is starting to get a lengthy one now although he did run much better last time (best run for some while). Seen to good effect making the running and similar tactics need to pay off here.

Looks a little limited but can't be faulted for effort and turned in her best display last time over C&D (3rd) having finished in the same position last time having blown the start. Would need more to win this but can't be ruled out of a place.

Forecasts

Bodacious Name (11/4), Something Brewing (4/1), Fontainbleau (13/2), The Last Debutante (7/1), Fool To Cry (8/1), St Andrews (10/1), Braes Of Lochalsh (10/1), Dizoard (14/1), Adrakhan (20/1)

Verdict

A modest staying event with SOMETHING BREWING taken to build on his AW runs over staying trips in the hope that he gets the run of the race here. Braes Of Lochalsh will enjoy this stamina test and won’t be running into any well-handicapped types this time although this course may not suit his come from behind style. Bodacious Name was another to bump into a thriving winner last time and will give a good account with Fool To Cry one to watch in the market along with Irish raider Fontainbleu.
