Completed a Chepstow 1m4f double when winning by 6L a month ago. Could finish only fourth on soft ground at Brighton over the same trip subsequently and races off the same mark in this contest.
Placed in a good ground 1m1f Carlisle novice contest in June. held in two handicap starts and more needed with cheekpieces tried for the first time.
Winner of a 1m2f maiden on the AW here in May last year. Struggled in the main since and debuting for a new yard on first start since December.
Handicap mark is falling having been held in five starts this season. Dropping in trip and market support would be interesting on this occasion.
Dual winner including on fibresand over 1m4f at Southwell in March. Wore cheekpieces for the first time that day but disappointing subsequently. Blinkers applied for the first time.
Victorious on good-to-firm ground over 1m6f at Nottingham in June 2016. Raced over hurdles in the main in recent seasons but well held in two starts on the AW during the winter. Returns from a break.
Winner over 1m on good ground in France in 2017. Well held over 1m on debut for this yard at Bath (good-to-soft) and has run well over 1m3f in the past.
Successful over 1m4f at Kempton in March. Placed since and interesting having finished a decent fifth over the same C&D a fortnight ago.
Held in four starts so far this year including over 1m4f at Chepstow (good-to-firm) last time out. Races off a mark 18lb lower than for his most recent victory.
Forecasts
General Brook (3/1), Famous Dynasty (10/3), Bamako Du Chatelet (9/2), Sonnetist (6/1), Sharp Reply (8/1), Berkeley Vale (9/1), I'm Running Late (9/1), Ascot Day (25/1), Aristocles (66/1)
FAMOUS DYNASTY can build on his fifth last time out by taking the concluding race on the card. The selection has run some decent races in defeat since winning earlier this year and he can take this with recent winner General Brook capable of claiming second. Bamako Du Chatelet should appreciate the drop in distance and he can take third.
- Famous Dynasty
- General Brook
- Bamako Du Chatelet
