Has enjoyed a good season, winning at both Carlisle and Ripon, the latter over this trip. Best on fast ground, though acts well enough on good. Consistent, so entitled to claims from this mark, from which he went close at Doncaster two starts ago.

Sole win from seven starts came here over C&D last month, when she did so with authority. Possibly too free when beaten 2L after a 6lb rise at Leicester latest. Same mark here and winning pilot back up. Claims.

Scored at Beverley (1m2f, good to firm) last month, when 9lb lower. Has bettered that on both starts since. Further improvement not ruled out, and he will need that after another 3lb upward nudge, but not dismissed lightly.

Looked in need of this trip when taking some coaxing to get up and score at Nottingham (1m2f) last time. Has run his best two races on that less undulating track, but if he handles this, then a 4lb rise and step up in grade don't look beyond him.

Forecasts

India (10/11), Ad Libitum (11/4), Reveleon (9/2), Breathable (15/2), Dubai Empire (8/1), Unwritten (12/1)

Verdict

Reveleon is interesting now upped in trip and there may well be more to come from him, but INDIA is proven around here and also unexposed. If she can settle better than last time, then she probably still has the scope to win from today's mark. A back-to-form Dubai Empire would be interesting, but that is far from guaranteed, and Ad Libitum looks much more solid as a potential challenger to the selection.
  1. India
  2. Reveleon
  3. Ad Libitum
