Was hurdling since the turn of the year including chalking up a win in a Tramore maiden in May. Now back from a break seeking to break duck in this sphere at the eighth attempt.

Broke duck in fine style over 1m4f here last month on good to firm going, raised 10lb for that success, likely to be in the mix nonetheless.

String of poor efforts on turf early in the summer, bounced back with a win over 1m4f on the AW at Dundalk in July. Races from 3lb higher returned to this sphere.

Ran well at Leopardstown in June over 1m5f on good to firm, but record is patchy and not as good since. Bit to prove.

More consistent on AW than she is on turf, her latest win did come over 1m2f (good) back in June 2017 at Leopardstown. Beaten 7½L over that same C&D earlier this month.

Shed maiden tag at Tramore (1m4f, good) 11 days ago, sticking on well to get up close home. Raised 5lb, wouldn't be any kind of certainty to turn up in the same mood now.

Dual purpose performer, remains a maiden after 12 stars on the Flat, but three efforts in this sphere since June have all been encouraging, ranging from 1m3f-1m7f. Mark untouched after ¾L third at Killarney five days ago.

Maiden winner at Gowran last summer over 1m1½f, not progressed since and beaten thick end of 20L on bow for this trainer over 1m2f at Leopardstown recently.

Just 1-15 on the level, landing a Navan claimer (1m2f, good to firm) for Ger Lyons last summer. Far from disgraced in starts at Galway and Sligo this month, but will have to unearth a bit more to enter the winners' circle here.

Dual purpose performer with a good record of making the frame (5-12) but has so far proved to be unreliable in a finish. Threw in the towel quickly at Sligo this month on return to the Flat and hard to fancy chances.

Galileo colt out of Logjam who is closely related to French middle distance winner Emily Strange. Didn't match expectations last back-end but still at Ballydoyle and likely has better to come. Blinkers tried, might want this and stable not firing.

Broke her maiden when winning a handicap over an extended 1m2f off a mark of 60 at Sligo (good) this month. Went well again since at Tramore (second) having gone up 7lb and extra pound shouldn't prevent another decent effort.

Winner of a handicap at Limerick over similar trip back in 2015, just 1-10 on the Flat all told. Spent 839 days on the sidelines but retains ability, going down a neck at Roscommon (1m4f, soft) nine days ago and since running fine race over timber.

Placed for the first time this year when finishing third in a 1m3f handicap at Killarney (good) last month. Recent effort at Tramore over 1m4f was nothing like as good and 0-11 now.

A 15-race maiden, well beaten over an extended 1m at Galway (soft) earlier this month and no more promising since at Tramore upped to 1m4f. Others more plausible.

Verdict

Match My Fire shed the maiden tag at Tramore last week and will have claims if in a similar mood here, but that seems far from a certainty given that win took three years and 17 runs in the crafting. Touch Of Gold is still seeking a first Flat success but efforts this summer have suggested it is looming while Madrid must be respected on seasonal reappearance for Ballydoyle despite an underwhelming juvenile campaign. Sligo winner MARICRUZ backed that up when second at Tramore upped to his distance and, with another pound added, is fancied to go very close once more.
