Five-race maiden has shown little in first two handicap starts both on AW recently. Return to turf hopefully suit better and handicapper assisting but possibly still some way off a competitive mark.

Made all in a C&D handicap latest where he always seemed in command. Raised 5lb for the success but sure to make a bold bid here and looks the one to beat.

Lingfield winner over 7f ran well the next twice despite a higher mark before finished lame latest at Yarmouth. Quick return suggests it was non-too serious so could again be involved here.

Maiden of four starts was tailed off last of seven over C&D in his recent handicap debut. Showed little signs of ability so far and easy enough to look elsewhere.

Salisbury debut win looked a one-off until latest effort where he was a good second on the AW at Kempton. Returns to turf now so has to prove as effective but has a squeak if doing so.

Port Of Call (5/2), Rotherhithe (3/1), N Over J (4/1), Gainsay (6/1), Busby (10/1), Confrerie (20/1)

Verdict

C&D winner PORT OF CALL has been found a nice opportunity to follow up by Amanda Perrett and he should be able to dictate matters again in this small field. Recent seller winner Rotherhithe may prove the main danger for Richard Fahey with confidence now likely boosted. Gainsay had been competitive off similar marks until suffering an issue last time so she too merits respect.
