The start of her career could hardly have been more promising with a win on her debut over 7f at the end of last year putting the race to bed in the style of a good horse. Not seen since and has a penalty to carry but hard to beat if ready to go.

Three AW starts have resulted in the same outcome each time - a runner-up spot with two of those 2nds coming on her most recent runs. Has looked less than straightforward on occasions (not last time); returns to novice company (looks vulnerable).

Regressed from what was a promising debut over 1m at Lingfield at Wolverhampton last time (raced freely). Has shown some potential but will need the new headgear (hood and tongue-tie) to bring any promise to fruition.

Debutante from a yard who place their horses well and are in good form. A daughter of Dubawi her dam was a winner at up to 1m2f who finished 3rd in a French Group 2. Has some other smart relations and worth noting in the market.

Made her debut recently over 7f on the AW at Kempton an certainly offered something to work on. Bred to stay this trip and further and given her top-class stable likely to show more this time around.

Just the one run for her former yard (Roger Charlton) for whom she showed only inexperience over 7f on the AW (Tapeta). She fared little better last time having changed stables on turf over 1m2f; one of the lesser lights in this.

Looked to have got the hang of things late on over 7f on her Tapeta debut finishing well to take the runner-up slot; offered plenty to work on. Failed to build on that run after 3 months off going backwards switched to turf; AW and 1m now may help.

Makes her AW debut after two runs on the turf have shown her to have ability improving from her debut last time after a 10 week break. Up with the pace all the way she stuck on well to finish runner-up last time to a useful sort (winner since).

Forecasts

Dolcissimo (5/4), Nomoathaj (7/2), Lush Life (4/1), Jadeyra (7/1), Hyperactive (10/1), Verdigris (14/1), Runway (50/1), Passionate Love (100/1)

Verdict

Several useful looking types in this who have already shown promise and if the penalised Lush Life is ready to go after a long absence she may be hard to beat even under a penalty. Both Nomoathaj and Dolcissimo looks capable of winning in this company although the latter of that duo has had enough chances now. Newcomer Jadeyra is worth noting in the market given her connections and pedigree but VERDIGRIS is the overall suggestion. Her Nottingham form has been made to looks smart by the subsequent win in a good York handicap of her conqueror there (Urban Aspect) and a repeat of that run takes her close in this.
  1. Verdigris
  2. Lush Life
  3. Nomoathaj
