Poor form in a couple of handicap hurdle appearances in May and June. One form 16 over hurdles and others make more appeal.

Got off the mark at the sixth time of asking in a Tipperary handicap hurdle in May over 3m before finishing fourth of 17 beaten a little over 2L at Roscommon earlier this month. Higher mark may find him out.

Beaten favourite last time out in a Tipperary 2m4f chase last month. Remains on eight-race maiden hurdler but finished first past the post before being disqualified on his last start over timber over 12-months ago.

Lost his way a little over hurdles recently in a couple of dour performances at Wexford and Roscommon. First-time blinkers may assist.

Placed in a 3m handicap hurdle at Tipperary in May. Well beaten subsequently however and interesting to see how she fares back from a break.

Distance winner of a Kilbeggan handicap hurdle on good ground in June off a 10lb lower mark before finishing second of 11 beaten a little over 2L at Limerick last month. Step back up in trip sure to assist.

Solid and consistent in defeat and comes here deserving of a change of luck following three promising starts over hurdles since last month.

Largely well held in a series of defeats over hurdles since May despite the geldings finishing positions. Very little to be positive about.

C&D winner here when last seen in May off a 9lb lower mark beating 15 rivals by 11L on good ground. Leading player on that run but may need the run back from a break.

Distance winner but that was over the larger obstacles and remains an eight-race maiden over hurdles. Second of 16 behind Oh'herewego when last seen in May.

Improved on a number of drab displays over hurdles when finishing second of 22 beaten 7½L in a 2m3f Cork handicap hurdle on good ground earlier in the month. Needs to improve once again here.

Grand old veteran had been in tremendous form last term before being pulled up and finishing 14th of 16 this time round at Wexford and Tramore. Best days appear to be behind him.

12-race maiden who is without a win in 11 hurdle starts without hitting the frame. Well out of her depth in this company.

Long-standing maiden, has had her problems getting to the track. Well down the field on return to the track in a Sligo handicap hurdle over 2m5f earlier this month. May struggle on these terms.

First Reserve: Has struggled when finishing down the field in a couple of horrid handicap hurdle displays this term and unlikely to play a part in the finish here.

Verdict

OH'HEREWEGO may have won by further than the 11L as he demolished the 16-runner field here over C&D in May had it not been for a final fence blunder. The 9lb rise in the weights may not be enough to halt the progress of the Medaaly gelding who can score here at the expense of the likes of the J P McManus-owned Goodnightngodbless in first-time tongue-tie and Se Mo Laoch. Crown Of Thorns, Filly Mullins and Maifitz's Madonna should be monitored for any market move.
  1. Oh'herewego
  2. Goodnightngodbless
  3. Crown Of Thorns
