Doncaster winner in June on soft going over this trip on debut, subsequently joined this trainer but only fourth of five at Beverley (5f, good to firm) last month, giving this rider a torrid time. Needs to co-operate better here.
Camacho gelding whose dam was a two-year-old 5f winner. Yard 0-16 in novice contest over the last few seasons and probably safest to adopt cautious stance here.
Bred to be speedy, but no impact in three starts to date. Will have to find plenty improvement for the switch to Fibresand if hoping to land a telling blow now.
Looked the winner at Windsor in May over 5f on good to firm but hung badly in the finish and settled for third. Switched yards since, sports cheekpieces now and big chance if able to shoot straight when it matters most.
Sent off huge prices and well beaten all four starts, beating only a handful of horses home. No realistic chance of making a splash on Fibresand bow, seemingly.
Lightly raced in Ireland for Michael O' Callaghan (6f-1m), and moved on for 16,000gns in July; good start for this yard in Redcar maiden over 7f this month, not quite as good since at Yarmouth over 6f but should be a big player here.
Gelded son of Sepoy who cost 18,000 gns. Half-brother to smart performer Poyle Vinnie. Finished fifth of seven at Windsor (5f, good to firm) on debut a fortnight ago and has got to improve on that effort to be in the finish.
Mayson filly who's price dropped from £50,000 as a yearling to 2,000 gns in the February sales. Could manage only seventh of 12 at Wolverhampton over 6f on debut last month having failed to get away smartly. Plenty more needed.
Captain Gerrard filly with plenty experience, has improved this year since a wind operation but not enough to open account and has gone backwards since early summer promise. Hard to be confident in chances.
Daughter of Swiss Spirit cost just £2,000 as a yearling. Sixth of seven in maiden at Redcar (6f, good) on debut in May, off since. Yard in decent form ahead of this second start.
Sent-off joint favourite on debut at Windsor in June, when 1l second (5f, good to firm) and showing promise in the process. Only fourth of six at Thirsk (5f, good to soft) this month when supported in betting. Retains potential to be a feature here.
Forecasts
Point Zero (2/1), Bobby's Charm (11/4), Poyle George Two (7/2), Terrier Spirit (6/1), Eternal Sun (14/1), Victors Lady (16/1), Spiritofninetysix (33/1), Mocead Cappall (50/1), Biscuit Billy (100/1), Whatdoesnotkillyou (100/1), Maximum Vision (150/1)
BOBBY'S CHARM rather tossed the race away at Windsor when last spotted when failing to run a true line close home. The cheekpieces may help now and he can atone for that missed opportunity. Point Zero showed enough at Redcar on debut for this trainer to merit consideration despite a lesser run since at Yarmouth while Doncaster winner Terrier Spirit is also liable to put a poor run at Beverley behind him.
