Winner over C&D in June when allowed to dictate terms from the front, not as good in either start since when taken on but needs serious consideration on handicap debut.
Finished third in all four appearances, letting favourite-backers down recently. Turned over at odds-on latest over 7f at Epsom. Blinkers on for handicap bow but surely must improve a bit to score.
Winner at Nottingham in June (6f, good to firm), ran well on nursery bow at Doncaster last month over same trip when finishing 2¼L fourth of sixth. Needs to take a step forward.
Camacho colt running well in novice events recently, including runner-up effort over this C&D, and makes appeal now reverting to nursery for the first time.
Tale Of The Cat colt who made promising debut when third at big odds over C&D in June. Subsequently well on the AW at Lingfield but laboured run at Redcar last month leaves him with questions to answer on nursery bow.
Won a 5f maiden here on her debut in April but didn't really improve from that in two subsequent outings and disappointing on nursery bow at Doncaster (6f, good to firm) last month. Too soon to be writing her off, cheekpieces added today.
Unplaced in four starts but has shown some promise, including on nursery bow at Goodwood (7f, good) last time out, tends to race keenly and still learning trade.
Middle effort from three, over 6f at Thirsk on good to firm, was promising. Makes first foray in nurseries here and wouldn't like to rule out, though others do have stronger claims.
Forecasts
Artistic Rifles (9/4), Sky Patrol (11/4), Autumn Splendour (6/1), Carrie's Vision (7/1), Capla Rock (7/1), Mendoza (15/2), White Iverson (16/1), Salmon Fishing (25/1)
Mendoza has been consistent in four starts but punters had their fingers burned last time at Epsom and, despite the addition of blinkers, he's tough to get carried away with now. Instead it might be worth siding with SKY PATROL on his nursery bow. He's already finished a decent second over C&D and has been running consistent races. This opening mark seems a fair one. Autumn Splendour would be very dangerous if getting a handy lead while Carrie's Vision may improve for the fitting of blinkers and has already won here over 5f.
- Sky Patrol
- Autumn Splendour
- Mendoza
