El Terremoto³⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-7| J: D A Jacob| T: N & W Twiston-Davies| OR: 139| C

2/1

Already a winner here over hurdles he bounced back to form on his second try over fences at Southwell (2m) last time. Ran to a level not far off his best hurdles form only getting home by a short-head; now has more to do.

Form: 80/160-1

Chelsea Flyer⁴¹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-1| J: Adam Wedge| T: Miss E C Lavelle| OR: 124

9/2

Fairly useful hurdler but has been known to let his supporters down on several occasions when not finding as much as seemed likely. Now goes chasing for the first time and has a stiff task at the weights.

Form: 5650-35

Golden Birthday^t²⁵

Age: 7| Weight: 11-1| J: Kieron Edgar⁽³⁾| T: H Fry| OR: 139| BF

10/11

Won over hurdles on four occasions and was also now slouch when tried on the Flat (3-7) and made a pleasing start to his chasing career at Uttoxeter. Only just beaten in the end the form hasn't been tested but he's nicely weighted here.

Form: 0/1311-2

Non-Runners

Jaleo⁴

Weight: 11-7| Age: 6

Forecasts

Golden Birthday (10/11), El Terremoto (2/1), Jaleo (5/2), Chelsea Flyer (9/2)

A small field but it should produce a good contest and GOLDEN BIRTHDAY is taken to build on his encouraging start over fences at Uttoxeter in a similarly small field having jumped well enough and he looks the pick of the weights here getting 6lb from El Terremoto. His win last time out at Southwell is a decent piece of form but his penalty will make life tough here but he should be able to take the runner-up spot at least as he appeals more than Jaleo (needs to get his jumping in order) and Chelsea Flyer (weak under pressure).
