Has pieces of form that would make him attractive off this mark if he can rebound from the horror shows of last winter.
Fair Flat performer turned modest hurdler. Has work to do off this mark and the winners have dried up lately for this yard.
Won a poor race at Uttoxeter and he has been struggling off his revised marks since. Failed to stay slightly further than this last time.
Hard to predict these days but he was made favourite here in June when he appeared somewhere near his best. Stable have a good record in this but he remains one to have reservations about.
Enjoyed the quicker ground when producing his best performance for this yard at Stratford but nowhere near as good since. Down in class since his last start and a drop in the weights will help.
Veteran rated 125 over fences in his pomp. Returns over hurdles following an absence and best watched this afternoon.
Hit a purple patch last winter for Pam Sly but it has been all downhill since and he reverts to hurdling having soon fallen behind on his latest start.
0-17 under both codes but less exposed than most in this and his latest run was a career best over hurdles. Does not have much more to find to have a say in a weak race.
His most respectable efforts have come at Taunton and he would have a chance of shedding his maiden tag if reproducing any of those efforts here.
Now 0-26 under all codes. This will be his first handicap over hurdles and there is a doubt he will stay this far.
0-22 career record and during which he has reached the frame just three times. Has been running to a modest but consistent level though this summer and it would be enough to see him figure in a dreadful contest.
26-race maiden who made an underwhelming debut for his owner/trainer and a new headgear configuration will be fitted. It would be a measure of how poor this race is if he proved good enough to win.
Forecasts
Capsy De Mee (3/1), Master Ring (5/1), Dusky Raider (5/1), Mr Fickle (11/2), Sea's Aria (15/2), Cor Wot An Apple (10/1), Serveontime (12/1), Pension Madness (16/1), Mortens Leam (18/1), The Last Melon (25/1), Tom Neary (33/1), Hi There Silver (50/1)
A woefully poor contest and it would come as no surprise whatever passes the post in front. Gary Moore landed both divisions of this in 2015 so Mr Fickle has to be considered. Serveontime is the pick of the weights but his best performances have come around Taunton and he has so far failed to reproduce those efforts elsewhere. Sea's Aria is dropped in class and enters calculations as a result, but Dusky Raider has to prove his stamina. Master Ring makes his handicap debut and could find this company more to his liking. CAPSY DE MEE gets the vote in the hope that he returns fresh from a break and returns the horse that promised better than this a year ago.
- Capsy De Mee
- Sea's Aria
- Master Ring
