Better class than this at her best, and does take another drop in grade today. Ran well over C&D three starts back though, and a reproduction of that would take her close. Couple of poor efforts since need forgiving, though.

Winner here in June but that was at six furlongs and he's yet to win at this trip. Didn't run at all badly ay Nottingham last time (after showing good speed) but whether he's got the pace for this quick 5f is another question.

On the plus side, is a three-time winner at the track, and has twice gone close over C&D recently. Should run her race again and could easily get among the places now shes back at one of her favourite venues.

Two wins to his name this summer but those wins punctured by a couple of much lesser efforts, and he seemed to find the weight rise a bit beyond him at Windsor last time. Needs another step forward.

Has fallen to a very tempting looking mark and did go well here (over 6f) in June, but is finding actually getting his head in front hard this season. Simply can't be discounted, as he's too well handicapped and conditions fine, but others preferred

Back to form when making all the running at Carlisle last time out and holding on by a neck. 4lb rise less of a worry than this very different track, which will ask a different question of her, but she should go well.

Only the two wins from 20 starts and recent efforts rather suggest he's gone right off the boil. Better effort at Lingfield last time, although that came with some cut in the ground. Others make more appeal.

One win in 8 starts, that coming at Kempton (6f) in March. Little bit below par at Ffos Las last time out, the cheekpieces (retained here) not producing a better effort. Could yet improve, but a little to prove after that.

C&D winner around this time last year, and looks on a good mark, but that's down to some fairly moderate efforts through the summertime and she doesn't look like a winner in waiting at present.

Good record here, two wins and three places from six starts, and she's held her form very well throughout the summer. Went close again at Leicester last time and she looks sure to run her race under ideal conditions again.

Forecasts

David's Beauty (4/1), Secret Potion (4/1), Kingstreet Lady (11/2), Swanton Blue (11/2), Seamster (8/1), Compton Abbey (8/1), Who Told Jo Jo (8/1), Babyfact (11/1), Edged Out (16/1), Everkyllachy (25/1), Ritas Legacy (50/1)

Verdict

These sprinters take it in turns to beat each other, and predicting these races in never easy. DAVID'S BEAUTY has more going for her than most, as she's consistent, enjoys racing here and is in good form. Maybe her turn has come around again. Edged Out is another that likes Chepstow's undulations and could take a prize home, and although Seamster comes with a few risks these days, he's going to pop up at some point (and probably at a decent price) and can't be ruled out.
  1. David's Beauty
  2. Edged Out
  3. Seamster
