Stepped up on previous efforts when running a cracker in the Sandringham Handicap at Royal Ascot. Nudged up 4lbs for that but a repeat of that effort would see her go very close here.

Only two starts so far this year and both of those have come on turf. Much more suited to an artificial surface and is now only 2lb higher than her last winning mark. Needs to bounce back but that is highly likely back on the AW.

Shown fair form so far this year but has a bit to find with Ortiz on their running at Ascot in June. Disappointing favourite at Newmarket last time but still early days and improvement is still possible.

Won first two starts in novice company this year including over C&D. Two subsequent efforts in handicaps have not been quite as good but soft ground may not have been ideal last time. Still early days and a return to this track/trip is a plus.

Backed into favouritism on handicap debut at Yarmouth two weeks ago but got picked off late in the day there. Drops back a furlong here which looks a good move and likely there is still more to come.

Forecasts

Ortiz (7/4), Perfection (5/2), Morning Has Broken (5/1), Elizabeth Bennet (6/1), Beauty Filly (7/1)

Verdict

A tightly knit bunch here and it's hard to rule out any of them. With that in mind we will take a chance on ELIZABETH BENNET coming good returning to the All Weather. Her two runs this year have both come on turf and she will be much happier back on this surface. Ortiz ran a cracker at Ascot and is the obvious danger.
  1. Elizabeth Bennet
  2. Ortiz
  3. Perfection
