Half-brother to a couple of winners who attracted early support ahead of his debut only to drift dramatically before the off. Found an experienced rival too strong but gave every indication of being good enough to win a maiden.
33,000 gns Poet's Voice colt related to five minor winners. Stable's juveniles have been going well but most are improving for a run.
Missed the break and soon outpaced on debut and hard to see him making sufficient improvement to figure in this company.
Son of Mukhadram cost connections 52,000 gns at the sales last October and half-brother to useful performer The Broghie Man. Sent off at 5/1 on debut but only beat one rival home and needs to improve a lot for the experience.
Half brother to the yard's very useful sprinter Mayfair Lady, who was twice a winner as a juvenile. Came in for support on debut but looked badly in need of the experience and can be expected to do better this time.
Quite an expensive purchase for this yard (£48,000) and his pedigree holds some appeal. Can only improve on an inauspicious debut when beaten 39L.
By Zoffany out of a half-sister to Royal Lodge winner Foundation. Stepped up markedly from her debut when third at Ripon and she represents a stable with a good record here that took a division of this in 2017.
By Lethal Force and the first foal of a 5f 2-y-o winner. Last of 10 on debut and stablemate has stronger claims.
Runner-up to a 68-rated rival on Wolverhampton debut and doubtful that form is good enough unless there has been dramatic improvement since. That is always possible with this record seeking trainer.
£30,000 daughter of Kyllachy out of a dam who was a prolific winner in Italy. Stable have had nine juvenile runners in 2018 and none have made the frame.
Havana Gold half-sister to a winner in Italy. Yard in form but just 3-36 with their turf juveniles in 2018.
Forecasts
Bugler Bob (6/5), Kensington Art (9/2), Amelia R (9/2), Gloves Lynch (11/2), French Twist (7/1), Chapman Billy (33/1), Quickly Does It (50/1), Fflur (50/1), Lakme (50/1), Moor Top (125/1), Deconso (250/1)
Gloves Lynch and French Twist represent big yards but need to improve considerably to lower the colours of BUGLER BOB who had clearly shown something at home ahead of his debut. In the event he found a battle hardened rival too good but he can go one better in the easier division of this maiden. Karl Burke's youngsters are always worth a second look here and Amelia R showed the benefit of her debut last time. Kensington Art was green on his initial run but there was sufficient money for him to suggest he could do a lot better on this occasion.
- Bugler Bob
- Kensington Art
