Has been consistent rather than progressive in these sorts of events and maidens but spoilt his chance by running a little too free last time (left him vulnerable at the finish). Cheekpieces now added (first-time) but may prove vulnerable.

Newcomer who is a brother to a useful winner in the US/Italy at up to 1m who also won as a two-year-old over 5f. Dam a winner at up to 1m2f; given a fairly stiff task on debut against some more experienced rivals.

There has been definite promise in both of her starts so far with progress coming from her debut last time out over 7f. Got the better of her main rival before being touched off by an impressive newcomer; remains with potential (up in trip).

Stable and rider are in good form at the moment but this one will need more time and distance before she's seen at her best. Well held on her debut it would take a big leap forward to see her score here.

Steps up 2f in trip from her debut and is certainly bred for a test like this rather than the 6f trip she faced on her debut. Shaped well there under an inexperienced rider who is now replaced and she has every chance of stepping up on her 2nd last t

Forecasts

Stormy Road (8/11), Al Mortajaz (10/3), Loving Pearl (5/1), Queen of Jumeirah (10/1), Just Later (28/1)

Verdict

This 1m trip will suit STORMY ROAD far better than the 6f she was faced with on her debut under a very inexperienced apprentice who is now replaced by Pat Cosgrave. Bred for stamina and not speed this test will prove far more to her liking and she’s taken to beat one of the other fillies in the field in Loving Pearl. The daughter of Dunaden may well have run into a useful sort at Lingfield last time and she remains with potential at this trip. Al Mortajaz has shown a decent level of form so far but he may have missed his chance last time at Catterick and he now faces two improving females who he has to give weight to.
  1. Stormy Road
  2. Loving Pearl
  3. Al Mortajaz
