£80,000 Dark Angel colt who has made a good start to his career, staying on to be third at Beverley 5f on debut before winning at Redcar last time on easy ground over 6f. Carries his penalty and sets a good standard.

Epaulette gelding cost 18,000 guineas and is out of listed placed dam. Yard can get them ready so well worth monitoring for any market confidence.
30,000 guineas colt by Pivotal out of a Selkirk mare so should relish the ease underfoot. Yard ticking over steadily although current wining percentage of 9% is a little lower than earlier in the campaign.

Not disgraced on debut when sixth at Thirsk, this Zoffany gelding ran a shocker when stepped up to extended seven furlongs at Beverley and appeared not to stay. Drops back in trip now.

£6000 Monseiur Bond gelding represents yard not known for two year old winners, especially on debut. Likely to need a few runs before being of interest.

€30,000 Zebedee colt made his debut in decent race at York racing in touch until gettired tired and fading from over a furlong out. Should know more this time and represents good yard so rates a contender here.

£20,000 Swiss Spirit colt who is a half-brother to three winners. Yard capable of readying them first time out so is one to consider if the money comes for him.

10/11
Fair form on both starts so far, finishing third of 7f on debut at Dandown the fourth over 7f at Newmarket, fading inside the distance. 6f may well prove ideal so this son of Toronado has decent claims.

Gregorian colt cost connections 23,000 guineas and holds entries in one or two decent races later in the season. Dam scored over a mile as a juvenile so he should stay this far and further this term.

11/2
Filly by Excelebration who caught the eye finishing sixth on debut behind King Of Tonga at Redcar earlier this month, not being knocked about. 6lb better off for just over three lengths so should be bang there is she's progresed a touch.

Captain Gerard filly makes her racing debut here. Yard been very quiet of late and it would be a surprise if she is ready to score at the first time of asking.

Forecasts

Topical (10/11), King Of Tonga (2/1), Olivia R (11/2), Joey Boy (16/1), The Cotswold Wasp (20/1), Epaulini (28/1), Golden Parade (33/1), Ugo Gregory (40/1), Irv (80/1), Supreme Dream (150/1), Jagerbond (200/1)

Verdict

OLIVIA R is 6lb better off with King Of Tonga who beat her into sixth when she made her racecourse debut at the start of this month. The Excelebration filly caught the eye as a potential improver so is taken to get off the mark at the second time of asking. King Of Tonga is a massive danger as he is going the right way and will make a bold bid to conce weight all round. The Queen's Topical should be suited by the drop back to 6f having struggled to get home over further, while Joey Boy is probably much better than he showed on debut at York. Of the newcomers, Epaulini and The Cotswold Wasp are of most interest.
  1. Olivia R
  2. Topical
  3. King Of Tonga
