5/6
Gelded son of Exceed and Excel who cost 75,000 gns as a yearling and is a half-brother to multiple winners. Fine third of 10 in handicap at Newmarket (6f, good) last time out, undergone wind surgery since and likely holds strong claims.
Kodiac filly is a half-sister to several winners, including useful 5f/6f winner Lord of The Reins and 5f winner Foursquare. Market check needed on debut.

Daughter of Kyllachy purchased for 28,000 gns at the sales in October 2016. Hasn't beaten a rival home in two starts. Back from 280-day layoff and likely best watched for now.

Sepoy filly is a half-sister to 7f winner Del Parco. Dam, a maiden, closely related to useful 7f-1m1f winner Violet Park. From a good yard and worth paying some attention here.

Verdict

THE ESTABLISHMENT was a good third in a Newmarket handicap in June and has undergone wind surgery during his brief break. There should be plenty more to come from this son of Exceed and Excel and a race of this nature is within his compass. His main rival looks to be Enthaar, who changed hands for a princely sum as a two-year-old and made an encouraging start on the AW at Wolverhampton. They may have this between them, unless the newcomer Sephira Park is above average.
