Very useful at his best in the past he's not been seen much in the past few years. Unsurprisingly shaped as though he would be better for the run at York last time out and this run should tell us more; dropped a further 3lb.
Generally goes well fresh and won last year at York over this trip off a 4lb lower mark when absent 115 days. Shaped well enough on his first and only Flat run so far this year again at York and arrives here fresh and not out of this at all.
A winner over 1m6f last year he's disappointed so far this year and looked in danger of going the wrong way (arrested the decline last time). Now switched to a new yard it will be interesting to see if that rejuvenates him; possibly needs headgear.
Hard to fault any of his runs this year with the win at Nottingham (1m6f, heavy) looking to be the best; unlucky to lose here over 1m4f to one who had the run of things. First try at this trip but looks the progressive one in the field.

Forecasts
Dagueneau (4/5), Precision (3/1), On Fire (4/1), Blue Hussar (5/1), Tommy Docc (7/1)
There doesn’t appear to be a natural front-runner in this and there’s a danger that it may end up being a little bit of a sprint. Even in those circumstances it’s hard to ignore the claims of DAGUENEAU who looks the progressive member of the field despite this being his first attempt at the trip. The other trio all have question marks over them with Precision needing to show that he can regain his form now he’s with Mark Johnston and Blue Hussar (best fresh) may be the biggest danger as it’s far from certain that Tommy Docc retains his old ability although this run will tell us more.
