C&D winner who like the yard has confirmed his return to form of late having been in the doldrums earlier in the year. Has now slipped below his last winning mark and a return to winning ways may not be far away.
Has gone well when fresh before (won on return last year off a mark of 57) and followed-up with another win off this mark. Both runs came with some cut in the ground so he has to prove himself on this ground; watch for market support.
Well weighted when winning here in July getting her head back in front after a two year hiatus; run well in two starts since off higher marks. Finished 2nd here on Saturday night under an inexperienced apprentice and last winning rider now recalled.
First-time blinkers looked to be the catalyst to her 3L C&D win last month and may have not been suited by the way she was ridden last time. Looks capable off this sort of mark although she could do with a more measured ride this time.
On the face of his record he looks as though Fibresand suits him best as he's yet to score on turf (0-12). Ran better than usual on turf last time out and could yet squeeze out a win on this surface; would need a few to waver to score in this though.
Since winning at Thirsk over this trip in April he's fared poorly including in a couple of runs here (one over C&D). Mark has now slipped back below his last winning one but he's not one to rely on and others appeal more.
Given her first try at 7f last time out she didn't do too badly in a race won by a stablemate having pushed a contested pace quite hard. Still not totally exposed and one to keep an eye on in the market with the possibility of more to come.
Struggling for form this year with the latest below-par performance coming at Musselburgh when ridden too aggressively. Has won over C&D but it takes a leap of faith to support him at the moment given his form (or lack of it) this season.
Still seeking his first win after 17 starts and well beaten on his starts this year and very hard to construct a viable case for him. Now tries 7f for the first time.
Showed very limited ability when with the Hannon yard last year (failed to beat a rival in any race). Gelded on joining this yard he's shown no improvement at all and has plenty to prove here.
Going handicapping looked as though it may bring out some more from her and she shaped quite nicely on her debut in that sphere (cheekpieces on). That nod to some ability wasn't followed-up however; blinkers on now with 7f tried to eke out more.
Forecasts
Lucky Violet (3/1), Eleuthera (9/2), Supaulette (5/1), Inglorious (5/1), Mecca's Spirit (5/1), Let Right Be Done (12/1), Harbour Patrol (18/1), Scotch Myst (20/1), Silvana Maria (33/1), Griffin Street (100/1), Glacier (150/1)
This isn’t clear cut and it could give Inglorius a chance to get back on the winning trail over a C&D he’s won over before and performed well at the last twice with the yard back on the up. Market support for Eleuthera would be significant and he’s won when fresh before while Lucky Violet is certainly in good form at the moment having run well here on Saturday night. There is the hint of more to come from both Supaulette and Silvana Maria but the suggestion is MECCA’S SPIRIT. She’s already scored here and may have followed up if she had been given a better ride last time (made a big move into contention) and a smoother introduction into the race may see her finish off better this time.
- Mecca's Spirit
- Inglorious
- Eleuthera
