Wants some rain, with all four wins having been on good to soft/soft ground. Is 7lb higher than the best of those, recorded at Yarmouth in May. Poor effort last time at Sandown so must bounce back. Also engaged in the 3:40 at Haydock.

Front-runner who last won at Lingfield in February over 1m2f. Two good efforts back on turf last twice over 7f so should find this trip ideal. Well capable if apprentice rider can get the fractions right.

Made the frame in all five career starts winning twice. Won first handicap at Chelmsford and only beaten 1L into third latest at Doncaster. Expectations high of another big run here off the same mark.

Yet to win this term and recent efforts not pointed to imminent success. Handicapper seems on his side now but will have to do a lot more to take advantage.

Lingfield winner on debut but not added to it since. Struggled in handicaps last twice including at Sandown in lone turf race to date so others make more appeal.

1m maiden winner ran with promise on handicap debut when third at Yarmouth before struggling when last of six at Sandown. Needs more here but still relatively unexposed and fitted with first-time cheek-pieces.

Bullingdon (13/8), Easy Tiger (3/1), Simpson (7/2), Employer (8/1), Salt Whistle Bay (8/1), Lawn Ranger (16/1)

Verdict

BULLINGDON has developed into a consistent performer for Richard Hannon and ran well again last time out at Doncaster. Everything points to another big run here. Easy Tiger is a danger and could take some catching with his 5lb claiming apprentice putting him on a nice racing weight. Employer could prove best of the rest with the suspicion that he didn't run his race latest.
