Plenty to like about the mares' starts over the larger obstacles recently including last-time-out success over 2m1f (good) at Tipperary in July. Not certain to transfer form back over timber.
2
Horse silk
Boot Camp9
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-3| J: D F O'Regan| T: G Elliott| OR:  123
9/1
Winner of Down Royal maiden hurdle in June over 2m but couldn't justify favouritism next time at Roscommon and well held since at the Galway Festival. May do better in handicaps.
3
Horse silk
Koshari10
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-2| J: Paul Townend| T: W P Mullins| OR:  140| D
1/1
Made no impact in the Galway Plate over fences recently, lightly-raced over timber (1-3) and will be making first start in this sphere since 2016. Represents top connections.

Not the force of old over timber, well held in three starts earlier in the year. Posted better efforts in two recent Flat outings.

Three-time hurdles winner, went close on New Year's Day 2017 at Musselburgh but two further efforts over timber in Ireland last year were tame. Off 437 days before this.

Woodland Operab,t6
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-2| J: B J Geraghty| T: Mrs J Harrington| OR:  126| D
5/2
Recorded a hat-trick of runner-up positions since May over hurdles/fences, though well held on each occasion. Wide margin defeat at Galway over larger obstacles this month already.

Count Simonb12
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-12| J: Mark Walsh| T: G Elliott| OR:  125
7/1
Novice hurdle winner at Downpatrick over similar trip on good ground in June, twice finished second in three runs since, including at Galway Festival. Entitled to be in the mix.

Forecasts

Koshari (1/1), Woodland Opera (5/2), Count Simon (7/1), Boot Camp (9/1), Jaime Sommers (14/1), Massini's Trap (25/1), My Manekineko (33/1)

Verdict

Koshari was easily dismissed in the Galway Plate recently. Willie Mullins' representative should be more at home in these calmer waters and is lightly-raced over timber, ensuring this looks a decent opportunity for the son of Walk In The Park. Woodland Opera has been fairly consistent of late in both codes and should run his race once more but, receiving weight all round, COUNT SIMON may be able to better recent runner-up finishes at Downpatrick and Galway. Boot Camp isn't dismissed completely, though may do better in handicaps.
  1. Count Simon
  2. Koshari
  3. Boot Camp
