Dual winner on testing ground in Ireland at 1m1½f when with John Oxx. Has run well on both starts for this trainer at Kempton (1m3f, AW), from today's mark, and is entitled to serious consideration.
Won over similar trips earlier in his career, though has been scoring over 1m2f in more recent seasons. Beaten just 2L in Listed company in December, but form has been tailing off. Apparently well treated, but a fair bit to prove.
Enjoying a good season, with just one blip at Thirsk in April, but otherwise in cracking form. Scored at York (1m4f, good to firm) in June and again ran well there in a better race last time. Same mark today and has each-way claims.
Has done all his winning over further than this, including here over 1m6f in 2014. Without a win for three years and although competitive last time from this mark, he still needs more to be winning over this trip.
Scored over a similar trip at Chester (good to firm) last year, when 11lb lower. Went close from this mark at Ripon in June, in a class 4 event. Has had tougher tasks either side of that, but can't be ruled out at this level.
Won a Dundalk maiden (1m4f, AW) on his second start and put up a very respectable effort on his handicap debut last time. Has since changed hands and had a decent break. Resumed from 1lb lower and the market should be a good guide.
