Is starting to look regressive having previously shown some smart form as a juvenile. Disappointed when pulling too hard on first run after wind surgery and dropped in grade here. Obvious chance at this level if first-time blinkers work.

Had knocked on the door a few times for Ed Dunlop before breaking through on stable debut. Ran on nicely there so a surprise to see dropped back to the minimum trip but does have more to offer.

Daughter of Poet's Voice who should need further in time but is doing well at present over the minimum trip. Has improved with each run and showed a willing attitude to breakthrough on her third start. More required but likely to only progress.

Just had two starts for current stable and came back to her best with a narrow second last month. Makes AW debut and still open to improvement but slight concern she may be suited by a more testing surface.

Likes to lead but as he did last time can blow it at the start. Looks vulnerable to improving types and others preferred.

Former William Haggas inmate who caught the eye running on well for his current stable two starts back over this trip. Showed again he's unsuited by 6f at Ripon and while still a maiden has plenty of upside.

Forecasts

Rumshak (2/1), Paco Escostar (9/4), Qaaraat (9/2), Sparkalex (6/1), Mosseyb (8/1), Brandy Station (20/1)

Verdict

MOSSEYB has shown so far that he needs a truely run 5f to bring out his best and while this is a small field, there is enough potential pace to suggest that the race may be run to suit. He's open to improvement as is Sparkalex who is progressing nicely and showed a gutsy attitude last time. Rumshak would be a major contender if the headgear works but he doesn't look one to take too short a price about while Qaaraat, like the main selection, is at least open to improvement.
  1. Mosseyb
  2. Sparkalex
  3. Qaaraat
