Irish raider that comes here in little form and wouldn't be of much interest were it not for the fact he gets cheekpieces and a first-time tongue tie tonight Still looks to have plenty on his plate, although worth a glance in the market for support.
Has been running well for a while now and as he keeps winning by small margins, the handicapper might not have caught up with him yet. Worry is this trip, as he appeared to not quite get it when fourth here in July. On that, others preferred.
Stuck to the task to take fifth at Ascot over 14f latest start, and worth a try at this trip, especially as he gets cheekpieces tonight. Only 1lb higher than last winning mark now, so chance if he gets the trip.
Came back off an absence to score on seasonal debut at Sandown last time out (14f), and the way he stayed on there gives hope he will get this trip. Handicapper sensible with a 2lb rise as well, so every chance of following up here.
Looks better at this trip than shorter, three wins this year all coming on the sand at 2m and he stayed on well to grab victory here on his latest start. Game and genuine, and actually takes a drop in grade here. Every chance again.
On a good mark now but has been on a slowly downward spiral for a while now. Conditions fine and drop in grade may help, but others come here with much stronger claims.
Has been in good form for much of this calendar year and handles all-weather surfaces fine, but best form at 12f and this step up in trip asks a new question. Others make more appeal.
Useful enough staying hurdler, and won very easily at Newton Abbot (26f) when last seen out in early July. Not exactly thrown in back on the Flat but an interesting contender, especially as he has won on the sand in the past.
Another useful handicap hurdler, beat a big field at Cheltenham last October but not seen out since February and may need this run. His mark looks plenty high enough too.
