A five-time winner last year she's found it hard to totally recapture that form this season with her last two runs offering little. Slips back into a 0-60 for the first-time since winning one in May 2017 off this rating; that might be her saviour.

Ended 2017 in good form when winning twice on the AW but hasn't returned in anything like the same form on the turf. Looked as though there were some quirks developing on her last run and now tried in cheekpieces for the first-time.

Approaching the veteran stage now but still running to a consistent level over this trip and has already won twice this year. Started slowly on his last two starts but still on a winning mark if he gets away on level terms.

9/2
C&D winner on a long losing run although there were signs that he could break that hoodoo last-time at Beverley. Only touched off by one dropping in grade there and attractively handicapped if he could reproduce that run; 2nd here last year off 64.

10/3
Out-and-out front runner whose form has a rather uneven feel to it but can be given a chance if he can repeat his Beverley run from last month (4th). Gets on well with today's rider and features off a good mark if he's on a going day.

Go back to last year and she was a winner over C&D off an 8lb higher mark on just her third try at 5f. Had wind surgery before this year's campaign and hasn't quite clicked yet but shaped well enough over 6f here last time and one for the shortlist.

Now tried in a visor for the first-time and has one standout effort to his name this year (3rd at Beverley) but looking as though he's struggling to follow-up. On the balance of his form one that is opposable even in this grade.

The losing run continues to build for this one and now stands at 19 with as yet no sign of a win. Hard to fashion a case for her on the evidence shown so far.

Down in trip and blinkers go on for the first-time but still makes little appeal having shown next to nothing this year; very slow away last time. Can only advise a watching brief.

Modest maiden as a juvenile and now returns from a long break to make her first start of the year; makes little appeal.

Forecasts

Glyder (11/4), Pearl Noir (10/3), Compton River (9/2), Imperial Legend (11/2), Kinloch Pride (15/2), Cuppacoco (15/2), On The High Tops (50/1), Little Poem (66/1), Trulove (80/1), Dark Hedges (100/1)

Verdict

Just a low grade affair with quite a few of these making little appeal on what they have shown so far. Compton River is a C&D winner but he’s not tasted victory for quite some while but his Beverley runner-up slot last time gave some hope that he could yet turn things around and he’s certainly well handicapped. He might just have to give best to GLYDER though who is 8lb lower than when scoring here last year and ran well enough over 6f last time to suggest that she is ready to score again. Imperial Legend is a solid sort at this level and he should be considered along with the front-running Pearl Noir who may be hard to catch if gifted an easy lead.
