33/1 when opening his account here on debut (1m). Next run may have come too soon and he is in calmer waters here. Being by Azamour the shorter trip is a worry.

Margub29
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-8| J: Jim Crowley| T: M P Tregoning| CD
1/3
Bated Breath colt, cost £30,000 as a yearling. Dam a Listed sprint winner and plenty of speed in his pedigree. Delivered in style when heavily backed over C&D but the runner-up has been slammed since.

Half-brother to four winners but has done little in either start and he will be more at home in handicaps after this.

Shaped well from a poor draw at Wolverhampton but he is beginning to look exposed and it is doubtful the improvement required is there to be found.

300,000 gns half-brother to Swiss Spirit and closely related to other useful types. The market should be informative, although the owner's jockey has made his opinion clear by opting for Margub.

Rewaayat316
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-2| J: Callum Shepherd| T: C Hills
8/1
Pivotal colt, dam a 7f winner and half-sister to Group 1 winner Muhaarar and two-year-old 6f Listed winner Sajwah. Held multiple Group entries as a juvenile but looks the owner's third string in this.

Gets a trip more in line with her pedigree, but she has plenty to find on form and will make more appeal when sent handicapping.

Home-bred Harbour Watch filly and half-sister to four winners. They include useful sprinter Minalisa who scored on debut for this trainer.

Forecasts

Margub (1/3), Ghalyoon (5/1), Emphatic (6/1), Done Deal (7/1), Rewaayat (8/1), Minoria (25/1), Distant Applause (25/1), Subjectivity (50/1), Eternal Destiny (50/1)

Verdict

Hamdan Al-Maktoum has three in this and it may pay to side with his retained rider Jim Crowley who opts for recent C&D winner MARGUB ahead of the choicely bred debutant Ghalyoon and Rewaayat. Minoria is an interesting newcomer from a good family, whilst it would be no surprise if Done Deal showed his latest run was all wrong.
