€42,000 yearling has been slow away in both starts to date. Ran on well enough over 7f latest at Ascot so drop back in trip not ideal. Yard not had a two-year old winner this season.

35,000gns yearling by Dandy Man is the first foal out of a US 1m winner including at two. Trainer has a few two-year old winners so market support would be significant.

100,000 guineas Acclamation colt. Dam won Gowran Park maiden over 7f then seventh in Irish 1000 Guineas. Very promising third of 12 at Windsor on debut last month and looks a major player for top connections.

£48,000 two-year-old by Footstepsinthesand from a good French middle-distance family. Top yard always prolific with two-year olds and jockey booking a positive so has to be respected on debut.

Neck third on debut at Leicester led to him being 6/4F latest at Wolverhampton but he disappointed finishing just sixth of 10. Must bounce back now returned to turf and upped in trip but debut effort would put him firmly in the shake-up.

A pair of tenths in novice races here and at Wolverhampton both at 66/1 tell the tale so far. Much more needed and in all likelihood he will be on to low grade nurseries after this.

52,000gns yearling by first season sire War Command who had made a bright starts with two-year-olds. Trainer doesn't have too many two-year-old winners but this one does have a speedy pedigree.

This son of Shamardal has been gelded since his lone start back in May. 7L third of five at Chelmsford saw him run very green so must improve but represents top connections and no surprise if he goes close.

Never nearer 6½L fourth on debut at Yarmouth last month saw her quite green before staying on late. More needed to play a major role but is likely to benefit for that experience.

Well related Dark Angel filly ran well on debut when fourth at Kempton but shade disappointing next when a fading fifth of 10 at Doncaster upped to 7f. Return to 6f should suit and not ruled out for top two-year-old trainer.

Forecasts

Garrus (1/1), Jack's Point (7/2), Shellbrook (5/1), In The Cove (12/1), Penarth Pier (14/1), Colonel Slade (16/1), Tone The Barone (20/1), Miss Green Dream (25/1), Michaels Choice (25/1), Bubbelah (40/1), Kompton Mckenzie (66/1)

Verdict

GARRUS made a nice impression when third at Windsor on debut and with expected improvement he looks sure to take all the beating here. Jack's Point ran well on debut before disappointing latest but if he bounces back he ought to go close. Of the debutants In The Cove makes the most appeal given Richard Hannon's record with two-year-olds.
