Shown a real liking for this course and interesting that the gelding has a choice of entries over the next week. Been highly progressive of late and merits serious respect despite the penalties mounting up and today's longer trip.
Unexposed over hurdles and possible there is more to come. Needs to step things up a couple of notches but stays the distance well and dangerous to overlook.

Modest form on the Flat and has been well beaten in both previous starts over timber. Big improvement required.
Best effort came on his second start for Nicky Henderson; switched yards since and well held in two bumpers. Has a bit to prove first time over hurdles and appears to face a stiff test.

Seems to have lost his way despite being well handicapped on the Flat and makes only limited appeal now switching to Jumps at this stage. Yard's runners generally going well just now, though.
Modest form in bumpers and two outings over hurdles so far. Another with improvement to find but gets the mare's weight allowance and is aided by a lack of quality amongst the rest. Experience of this track a further bonus, so worth a betting check.

Forecasts

Hatcher (1/14), Baby Ted (6/1), Highway Star (10/1), Maraakib (20/1), Musical Stardust (40/1), Highly Likely (100/1)

Verdict

This may be a straightforward task for HATCHER, who has won his last two starts in a pleasing manner and shapes as if the step up in trip won't be too much of an issue. Baby Ted is open to improvement and should have no issue with the distance. He looks a safer alternative than Musical Stardust, who has improvement to find but has experience of the course and gets a handy weight allowance.
  1. Hatcher
  2. Baby Ted
  3. Musical Stardust
