Has won on each occasion he has had soft/heavy ground over today's trip. Goes well for an inexperienced rider and four runs in sprints see him dropped to 2lb above last winning mark with yard in good form.
Course winner (6f) who appeared to be coming to hand when upped to this trip last week. Astute trainer has secured a top rider from the Arab racing ranks who has won on two her last three rides.
Triple C&D winner who took advantage of a hanging runner-up to gain the narrowest of victories in May. No surprise to see him struggle off his revised marks since and he is still 3lb higher here from a poor draw.
Winner at Wetherby on fast ground who has struggled off higher marks since. Has failed to deliver on soft ground previously and hard to recommend.
This trip and soft ground are his ideal conditions. Makes stable debut after a seven month break and with an inexperienced rider on board.
Has won for this rider when a 66/1 shot and has also scored here on soft ground. Needs to rebound from a poor run last time and could do from a handy draw.
Won a class 3 handicap (7f) at Kempton off a mark of 82 in 2016. Again failed to convince she stayed a mile last Friday and a visor is added for this attempt.
Has done all his winning at Hamilton and handles most underfoot conditions. Well-handicapped on his best form and has joined a new fledgling trainer who has already shown she can improve stale looking horses. Rider has a 2-12 career record.
His last four victories have come from marks below 60 and he has never won on ground as soft as predicted.
His last two wins have come from marks of 55 and 56 so interesting now that he has dropped below that mark on a track where he usually goes well. Nicely drawn and handles soft ground.
All six wins have come at Southwell and he is 0-31 on turf. Experienced amateur on board having made his stable debut over an inadequate trip.
Veteran mare who has won four races, the last three over considerably further than this. Has a tough task from out of the weights.
His performances over the past five years provide enough evidence to indicate he is of little account and an official mark of 34 flatters him.

Ventura Secret (3/1), Monsieur Jimmy (6/1), Black Salt (6/1), Abushamah (6/1), Thornaby Nash (7/1), Three Gracez (8/1), My Valentino (12/1), Ravenhoe (14/1), Amy Blair (14/1), Scrutiny (16/1), Dutch Artist (20/1), Munthany (25/1), Graceful Act (33/1), Plastiki (100/1)
Ventura Secret has track conditions in his favour off a good mark as does Black Salt, but both have to concede lumps of weight to equally well-handicapped rivals . Scrutiny goes well for today's booked rider and will appreciate the conditions from a good draw. THORNABY NASH is a good rider for an inexperienced jockey and likes it on the straight course here. The veteran has a good draw, handles any going and is below the mark which brought his last success in May.
- Thornaby Nash
- Scrutiny
- Black Salt
