Never the most reliable in the past but thriving over this C&D lately, with two wins in three starts since late June (also ran well at Brighton over a mile between times). Career-best to win last week, 3lb higher but not ruled out in current mood.

Remains a maiden after 16 starts but went closest last time over 7f (soft) at Yarmouth when 1L second in May. Cheekpieces are left off now, rider's claim helps.

Poor in one previous run over this C&D, hasn't progressed in two runs this season and still a maiden, though handicap mark is on the slide and not one to write off yet.

Exceed and Excel gelding, beat nearly 14L over C&D last month, attempted 5f for first time since at Yarmouth without any success. Back up in distance, needs to improve.

His AW form over the winter has a rather uneven profile and for the most part the good runs could be judged as rather dubious. He never appears to be able to put two good runs together and may be best watched returning from an absence.

Very lightly raced since making her debut in March 2015. Hasn't beaten a rival home in two starts recently for new yard, overlooked for now.

Without a win after 19 races, but has not been disgraced in four outings since joining his current yard. Beaten just 2¼L into fourth over this trip at Chepstow recently and can have place claims.

Poor strike-rate now reads 1-33, with the score coming on the AW here over 7f in January off a mark of 45 in low-grade contest. Didn't run badly last time at Chepstow, though remains unlikely winner.

Maiden, beaten a long way in two starts on turf this season for previous yard, both over significantly longer trips. Hard to be confident of a turnaround back down in distance based on AW form.

Just the five starts, showing little in maiden/novice events. Did promise more when dropped to 7f (AW) on handicap debut at Chelmsford four days ago, but will need to bring more to the party.

No threat in maidens and similar tale on handicap debut over 6f at Windsor last month. Hard to make case for on that evidence.

Lightly-raced maiden, showed no improvement on handicap bow over a mile on the AW here last month. First start on turf, needs to find a lot more for the switch or will be struggling.

Sixties Icon filly, no promise in her first five starts (7f-1m2f), but fared better for the application of blinkers at Bath (1m, firm) last month. Back to drawing board since at Brighton (7f, good to firm) and headgear dispensed with now.

Harbour Watch filly, hasn't shown anything in four starts to merit strong consideration for this event. Watching brief.

Verdict

Flying Sakhee is the form pick with two recent C&D successes, showing much-improved form in doing so. She's up another 3lb for last week's win and should go well, but she's just about opposable based on the early price. HOW'S LUCY remains a maiden but did show up well at Yarmouth in May and could mount a decent bid now with her rider's claim an asset. Three C's could run into the money judged on his Chepstow effort while Shoyd is one in the pack with the potential to improve.
