Have to go back to 2016 to find the last time he visited the winners enclosure and at times this year has looked less than cooperative with trying to remedy that. Another tame show at Epsom this month over this trip, others preferred.
AW winner over this trip last year, good third on reappearance at Wolverhampton in May and rates a contender but must prove himself on turf.
Strong late progress when narrowly denied at Chelmsford on the AW 11 days ago. Also went close in this grade at Brighton in May. Bit more needed back on turf from new rating.
Maiden after 12 starts and first couple of runs for this stable after leaving Karl Burke have only been fair. One of the less appealing types, but at least her handicap mark is falling.
Lightly-raced maiden, well on the AW last month at Kempton on first start after being gelded. Makes turf bow in this and has work to do sporting a new hood.
Six-race maiden, finished almost 10L down in third of nine at Bath last month over this trip, has undergone wind surgery since and could improve for it.
Six-race maiden, well beaten having gone off favourite for 1m2f handicap at Salisbury earlier this month (finished fourth of five), visor is added now and should prove capable of better for in-form trainer (11-24).
Out of form both over hurdles and on the Flat recently, beaten 27L in 11th of 12 runners at Beverley earlier in the month. Drops in the weights and gets first-time blinkers now, stiff ask.
Forecasts
Ferrier (9/4), Moonlight Silver (3/1), Purple Jazz (4/1), Stirling Value (5/1), Tilsworth Lukey (7/1), Lady Natasha (12/1), Fanoulpifer (14/1), The Jungle Vip (33/1)
Ferrier was well-supported last time at Salisbury but couldn't deliver the goods. Sir Mark Prescott's runners are flying right now, and the filly should prove better that what she has so far shown. She's again likely to be short in the betting and so MOONLIGHT SILVER is preferred at the forecast prices. He looked in good tune at Wolverhampton on his return and should go close if proving his credentials on turf. Purple Jazz is a potential improver after a wind op while Tilsworth Lukey is capable but has crept up in the ratings since a near miss on turf at Brighton in May.
- Moonlight Silver
- Ferrier
- Tilsworth Lukey
