Been a smart handicapper in his day and is still capable as he showed when winning at Lingfield last time, 6lb rise makes life tough and he has never really shone here on previous visits to the Roodeye.
Three C&D wins to his name but prefers ground no faster than Good. A thunderstorm would do his chance no end of good having gone close here on previous two visits this term on quick ground.
Improved 25lb last term wining five races but hasn't looked the same horses this year off his current mark. Hard to see him troubling the judge on recent evidence.
Lightly raced over the last year and had wind operation last September. Had struggled this term until going close in four-runner affair at Ayr last time but that doesn't look quite good enough on balance.
Lovable veteran having his 125th race here and won over C&D last time out in good fashion. 4lb higher but not out of it on track he really likes. Should be thereabouts once again.
Popular old mare bidding for her 13th win. Saves her best for Hamilton and has yet to run too well here in eight previous attempts to on balance others are preferred.

Powerallied (5/4), Batten The Hatches (3/1), Ashpan Sam (4/1), Confessional (6/1), Porchy Party (8/1), Only Spoofing (12/1), Economic Crisis (16/1), Show Palace (16/1)
Great to see grand veterans such as Confessional and Economic Crisis back for more, but the younger ONLY SPOOFING looks of greater interest having run better than his recent finishing positions indicate. He seems to be holding his form well. Ashpan Sam is respected despite his lack of previous success here, while Powerallied could prove a danger, especially if there is a drop of rain.
