Added a second course success over 6f from a 4lb higher mark last season. His form tailed off towards the end of last season but his reappearance on first start since wind surgery was encouraging enough and may come on for that.
Gained a first win for this yard at Lingfield in January, a third success on AW. Well beaten on only turf start at Sandown and well beaten on last couple of Polytrack outings. Needs first-time cheekpieces to spark a revival.
Won twice last year including a course win and while his first couple of efforts of 2018 were below par, he produced a better effort at Thirsk last time. Has switched stables since and not ruled out up in trip with top lady amateur in the saddle.
Gained a first win since his 2015 C&D success at Southwell in January. Seen at his best when ridden prominently, as seen when a good second at Yarmouth in June but not as effective back here last time and vulnerable to better handicapped sorts.
Consistent sort and has already won three times this year. Probably did too much too soon at Newbury last time and not ruled out if his jockey gets the fractions right from the front.
Landed his third career success at Beverley last time but 4lb higher in a deeper race here and consistency wouldn't be his forte.
Largely struggling of late and disappointing when last of 11 at Chester earlier in the month. 4lb below his last winning handicap mark and he's versatile with regards form so not out of this if he turns up in the right mood.
Not won for nearly two years and he's only just back below his last winning mark. Running okay in defeat in recent times without looking like an obvious winner in waiting and would probably want a bit of cut in the ground to be seen at his best.
Unlucky not to have got his head in front in recent starts and has been steadily rising in weights as a result. Clearly in good form and not without each-way claims again but perhaps vulnerable as far as the win is concerned.
Just one win to his name from 18 starts and that came on AW at Newcastle. Largely running well in defeat this year but still above his last winning mark as a result and others preferred.
Still a maiden after six starts. Produced one of his better efforts at Kempton last time out and a new combination of headgear may see him in a better light.
25 starts without a win and out of the handicap here. Hard to fancy in a race this competitive.
Forecasts
Normandy Barriere (4/1), Robero (11/2), Ghayyar (11/2), Nick Vedder (7/1), My Amigo (8/1), Call Out Loud (8/1), Majestic Moon (9/1), Cliffs Of Capri (12/1), Harry Beau (14/1), Twin Appeal (18/1), Launceston Place (25/1), Fieldsman (25/1)
It may be worth taking a chance on NORMANDY BARRIERE here after an encouraging run on first start since wind surgery last time out. Call Out Loud has been in good form of late and has each-way claims again while it's likely Harry Beau is still in form and he can be forgiven his effort last time out when doing too much early.
