Improved from debut with a fine effort in defeat at Newbury two starts back and he justified favouritism back at that course last time out. More needed to cut it at this level.

10/1

Confirmed the promise of his debut effort at Newbury when a winner at Windsor earlier in the month in convincing fashion. Well bred and more to come but he would have to take a sizable step forward to mix it with some of these.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-3  |  J: James Doyle |  T: J D Bethell
16/1

A winner on debut at York and while no match for the winner at Haydock next time out, he ran with credit in defeat. Doubts about whether he wants the step up to this trip though.

Improved from debut when stepped up to this trip at Newmarket last time. Runner-up and fourth have both boosted the form since and while he may well do better over a bit further with time, he's a live player here.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-3  |  J: D Tudhope |  T: Archie Watson
6/4

Impressive winner on debut at Carlisle and ran a huge race when stepped up to Listed class over C&D on just his second start at the Royal meeting. Front two pulled clear that day and the winner looks useful so he must have leading claims here.

Age: 2|  Weight: 9-3  |  J: S De Sousa |  T: M Johnston|  OR: 94|  D
9/2

Has won three of his six starts, not needing to improve for his latest run when a wide margin winner at long odds-on. More experienced than the rest in here but has more on his plate in this class.

Verdict
There was plenty to like about NATE THE GREAT's course and distance second last time out and that sets a solid standard on form for his rivals to match. Given that was only his second start, he's sure to improve again and looks hard to beat. Master Brewer couldn't be ruled out with the form of his latest success franked since. Victory Command is more exposed than his rivals but may be able to put his experience to good use and pick up some prize money.
