Has four wins already this year and didn't need to improve to land a three-runner contest under a penalty at Nottingham last time out having missed the break. The runner-up would appear to be a decent enough sort so not ruled out in hat-trick bid.
Hit and miss performer and his three turf outings haven't matched the level of his AW form. Drawn on the wrong side here at the Royal meeting and first-time cheekpieces may bring about improvement so not ruled out.
Progressive sort who won his first two starts this year. Compromised his chance here at the Royal meeting when missing the break but ran okay in defeat and it's likely there's more to come for a yard that do well with this sort.
Improved from debut to win on his second start at Sandown as a juvenile. Hasn't been in the same form this year and passing beaten rivals in the closing stages at Newmarket last time. In need of more relief from the handicapper.
Plenty of promise in two runs as a juvenile and returned with a win at Chelmsford before a close second over 7f here. Well backed when only ninth of 30 over C&D last time but still unexposed and may be worth giving another chance to.
Completed his hat-trick over C&D in May and while things didn't pan out here next time out, he was back to form with a narrow loss at Newmarket last time to a progressive sort. First-time cheekpieces may spark a bit more improvement.
Improved from his reappearance to win on soft ground at Doncaster next time but well beaten over C&D at the Royal meeting. His better efforts have all come with cut in the ground so he's likely to want some rain to arrive.
Has improved for the switch back to turf and arrives bidding for a hat-trick after a comfortable success at Newmarket last time. 10lb higher here but the runner-up has franked the form in emphatic style since and he ought to go well here.
Has two wins from her five starts and probably given a bit too much to do over C&D last time out. 1lb higher now but there's every chance she's not done progressing yet.
Running to a consistent level this year and managed to get his head in front at Doncaster last time. 2lb higher in a more competitive race now though and looks vulnerable to those better handicapped.
Both his wins have come at Sandown and not disgraced back at that course last time from out of the handicap. Remains to be seen what his optimum trip is but he's still unexposed and the booking of De Sousa catches the eye.
Denied in a hat-trick bid at Ayr last time, not himself with a slow start, a trait he's shown before in his career. Up another 1lb but not ruled out if he gets away on terms and should get a decent pace to aim at.
A winner at Newbury on debut as a juvenile but well beaten in two starts this season. Drop back in trip might be in his favour and not ruled out on handicap debut. Market may reveal expectations.
Just one win from eight starts with that success coming at Wolverhampton in January. That was his first start since February having had wind surgery in the interim so may improve here.
Had the advantage of the stands side rail when making a winning handicap debut at Yarmouth last month (33/1) but well held back at that course last time out, possibly given too much to do. May be more to come.
Forecasts
Crack On Crack On (9/2), George Of Hearts (5/1), Corrosive (6/1), Escalator (6/1), Sam Gold (9/1), Ulshaw Bridge (14/1), Petrus (14/1), Simply Breathless (16/1), Rum Runner (16/1), Moqarrar (16/1), Aquarium (16/1), Papa Stour (18/1), Orange Suit (25/1), Party Fears Too (25/1), Protected Guest (50/1)
ESCALATOR is one to keep on side in his hat-trick bid here with the form of his most recent success franked in fine fashion since. Orange Suit may be capable of better now tackling handicap back down in trip with the Champion Jockey in the saddle while George Of Hearts was well backed here last time out and may be worth giving another chance to.
- Escalator
- Orange Suit
- George Of Hearts
