Goddess¹⁴

Age: 2| Weight: 9-0| J: R L Moore| T: A P O'Brien| CD

4/9

Boasts a superb pedigree, and looked an excellent prospect when winning a C&D maiden by 10L on her second start. Likely to progress further, and should taken plenty of beating here.

Form: 91

(1)

Moravia⁴⁹

Age: 2| Weight: 9-0| J: Colin Keane| T: G M Lyons| CD

7/1

Improved on earlier efforts when winning a C&D maiden by 4½L from a subsequent winner last time, and deserves to take her place in stakes company based on that performance.

Form: 451

(3)

Secret Thoughts²⁹

Age: 2| Weight: 9-0| J: D O'Brien| T: A P O'Brien

11/2

War Front filly out of quirky Irish Oaks winner Chicquita; improved from debut when winning 16-runner maiden at Naas last time despite flashing her tail, and will improve further if her temperament holds.

Form: 21

(6)

Skitter Scatter²⁵

Age: 2| Weight: 9-0| J: Ronan Whelan| T: P J Prendergast| OR: 98

10/1

Has progressed with each race to date, and best effort when ½L second of 7 to So Perfect in Grangecon Stud Stakes at the Curragh last time. Every chance on that effort, so shortlisted with this trip likely to suit on pedigree.

Form: 3132

(4)

Sparkle'n'joy¹⁹

Age: 2| Weight: 9-0| J: C O'Donoghue| T: Mrs J Harrington

25/1

Best effort in maidens when third at Fairyhouse last month before winning a weaker event at Naas last time. Will progress again at this trip, but has a bit to find with the principals.

Form: 531

(7)

Vallambrosa¹⁸

Age: 2| Weight: 9-0| J: Seamie Heffernan| T: J P O'Brien| OR: 87

33/1

Best effort to date when fifth in G3 Grangecon Stud Stakes, but held by Skitter Scatter on that running, and didn't need to improve to land a maiden race last time.

Form: 251

Chicago May¹⁹

Weight: 9-0| Age: 2

T: H De Bromhead J: Wayne Lordan

Forecasts

Goddess (4/9), Secret Thoughts (11/2), Moravia (7/1), Chicago May (7/1), Skitter Scatter (10/1), Sparkle'n'joy (25/1), Vallambrosa (33/1)

Skitter Scatter has solid form at pattern level, and promises to improve for the extra furlong, so deserves the utmost respect, but it was hard not to be impressed by the ten-length romp of GODDESS in a C&D maiden last time, and this impeccably-bred filly looks set for stardom. Secret Thoughts is a stablemate of the selection, and out of an Irish Oaks winner, so also merits inclusion on the shortlist.
