Handles any ground and scored on heavy at Leicester in April. Inconsistent since then but ran well here in May so a bold show is by no means out of the question.

Went off too fast at Epsom latest and soon faded, but had previously looked unlucky at Chelmsford and has scored at Hamilton on soft ground before that. Any rain would certainly boost his chances.

Listed winner and Group placed at two for Richard Hannon but hasn't reached those heights last few seasons. Undeniably well handicapped if able to recover some form off lowest ever mark with first-time blinkers, but hasn't shown much of late.

Unexposed Iffraaj filly who won Doncaster novice event last time with a bit in hand. Appears feasibly treated on handicap bow and is one of the few in this field with potential to improve.

All 3 wins have come on AW and is 0-11 on turf. Ran OK though when fair fourth at Windsor in June off this mark so is not without a chance if reproducing that kind of a run.

Runner-up a couple of times last term in modest maiden company but form tailed off and returned following wind surgery to be beaten out of sight at Chester last week. Hard to enthuse over.

Forecasts

Zip Along (5/4), Cappananty Con (7/2), Aleef (9/2), Bahamian Dollar (5/1), King Of Rooks (14/1), Dandys Denouement (40/1)

Verdict

ZIP ALONG is the one who could be on the upgrade having won in good style at Doncaster last time. She may well follow up on this handicap debut. Top weight Bahamian Dollar has two ways of running, but if on a going day wouldn't be far away, while Aleef is not out of it, especially if there is any rain to take the sting out of the ground. First-time blinkers may help the seemingly regressive King Of Rooks who is very well in on the best of his old form but has been woefully out of touch this term.
